Assignment Description

We are looking for a skilled Senior Engineer to work with detail engineering in a large project for an unmanned operated offshore wind substation (HVDC) within the telecom discipline.

The right candidate will join a major green field project and will have the opportunity to develop his/her skills within telecommunication systems design in a HVDC converter station and personal skills in a large international project-working environment.

• Typical tasks:  
• Define and specify design solutions for required telecom sub systems. 
• Follow up telecom vendors and vendors technical documentation. 
• Interface to other disciplines, suppliers, other installations, and client. Develop engineering documents and update data registers. 
• Participate in relevant test activities, workshops and reviews. 
• Site support to fabrication yard

Qualifications

• Master, or Bachelor degree or relevant technical education. 
• Ex course FSE course
• Long relevant practical experience may outweigh and compensate for a lack of formal education.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience from Telecom engineering and telecom system design activities within greenfield oil and gas or wind projects on the Norwegian continental shelf.
•  Experience and deep knowledge of telecom design according to relevant standards such as 
   NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, DNVGL and IEC
• Efficient communicator, who communicates well in English - Both orally and in writing
• Cooperative working attitude and acceptance for multicultural team environment A natural team player but possess the ability to work independently. 
• Systematic and accurate, with high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements Proactive, seeking advice and share own experiences with others. 
• Innovative approach, eager to improve methodology and solutions. 
• Ability to understand and implement requirements stated in new standards.
• Knowledge of Norwegian language would be advantageous.
