Assignment Description

• We are looking for a skilled Senior Engineer to work as a discipline lead in a study for detail engineering in an offshore greenfield / brownfield project within the telecom discipline.
• The right candidate will join a major project and will have the opportunity to develop his/her skills within telecommunication systems design and personal skills in a large international project-working environment. 
• The study will if approved continue into an EPC project.
• Typical tasks:
• Telecom lead and responsible for Telecom deliverables in study Participating in development of telecom design solutions for telecom sub systems, remote operations, maintenance, monitoring, and new technologies to required level in a study. 
• Follow up telecom vendors. 
• Interface to other disciplines, suppliers, other installations, and client. 
• Participate and arrange meetings, workshops and reviews for the Telecom discipline Define engineering documents. 

Qualifications

• Master, or Bachelor degree or relevant technical education. 
• Ex course (max 5 years old) 
• FSE course
• Long relevant practical experience may outweigh and compensate for a lack of formal education. 
• Minimum 5 years’ experience from Telecom engineering and telecom system design activities within greenfield oil and gas projects on the Norwegian continental shelf. 
• Experience from Telecom system design in Study phases or FEED or other relevant experience. 
• Experience and deep knowledge of telecom design according to relevant standards such as  NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, DNVGL and IEC.
• Efficient communicator, who communicates well in English - Both orally and in writing
• Cooperative working attitude and acceptance for multicultural team environment 
• A natural team player but possess the ability to work independently. 
• Systematic and accurate, with high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements 
• Proactive, seeking advice and share own experiences with others. 
• Innovative approach, eager to improve methodology and solutions. 
• Ability to understand and implement requirements stated in new standards. 
• Knowledge of Norwegian language would be advantageous.
