Marketing Officer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Act as a brand ambassador for HerVenture – implement marketing and public speaking skills to influence the download and usage of the app at various outreaches
• Conduct Who’s Who in Guyana Business marketing – reaching out to potential advertisers and confirming their interest in the publication
• Create awareness of the company’s events using various marketing channels and platforms
• Research and analyze market trends, competitor offerings, demographics, and other information that affects marketing strategies
• Monitor marketing performance and adjusts strategies as necessary
• Use research findings and analysis to provide direction to marketing managers regarding upcoming marketing projects, new products or services, and overall strategy
• Maintain the department’s budget and ensures all marketing activities are cost-effective
• Identify areas of improvement in product offerings, sales tactics, marketing strategy, and promotional activities
• Weigh in on important decisions involving advertising, media channels and branding
• Approve all marketing campaigns and plans before they are implemented
• Live videos and recordings for the TV show on various topics relevant to the company
• Adhere to and implement all company policies and procedures

Specific Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Business, or a related field 
• 3+ years of experience in in Marketing or Sales
• Experience in working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions is preferable 
• Strong understanding of business and industry
• Outstanding people management, communication, training, computer, and technical skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage marketing processes from start to finish
• Capability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment with diverse stakeholders  
• Ability to attend virtual and occasional physical events, including webinars, trade shows, and fairs
