Project Portfolio Management

The PIMS Project Portfolio Management module provides decision support to management for controlling cost and schedule for projects included in a portfolio. The module is an add-on to the Cost Control and Contract Management modules.

The tool is built to monitor and report progress and identify deviations to initiate corrective actions in a timely manner. Its functionality covers selecting projects to be included in a portfolio, establishing a cross-project Work Breakdown Structure and/or any other preferred coding structures, tracking project performance and extensive cross-project reporting and analysing capabilities.

The PIMS Project Portfolio Management module fits large, medium and small sized development or modification projects. The module consists of tested strategies and techniques to help you assess and control costs in your projects.

The PIMS Project Portfolio Management module gathers information from the PIMS Cost Control and Contract Management modules and allows you to sort your projects into categories, phases and regions.

The Project Portfolio Management module also includes functionality to build an unlimited number of cross-project breakdown structures, e.g. WBS, OBS and PBS. By utilising the PIMS Portfolio Management module your company will gain control of and measure actual performance and compare it against planned performance. For work in progress, PIMS also contains comprehensive functionality for earned value management and tracking of key performance indicators.
