The PIMS Experience module simplifies access to experience data from ongoing and completed projects. The module has a comprehensive search engine that can extract data in a way that makes it easy to compare and perform benchmark analysis. The module's flexibility makes it suitable for any type of project.
In general the Experience module simplifies the data collection work, with the resulting benefit of more time available for data analysis itself. The module makes updating of estimating manuals and key figures more efficient.
PIMS Experience categorises the data into cost, weight, key figures, equipment, plan and design data. Any document of interest can be attached to the registered data.
Data may be inserted at any level where data is available, ranging from detailed weight data, up to top project levels. Furthermore, data may be entered whenever necessary throughout the project lifetime.
The experience data itself is typically coded by means of the Standard Cost Coding System (SCCS), which forms the basis for comparison of data between projects. Any company specific cost coding system can easily be implemented.
For the purpose of data extraction, various multiple project operational methods for both detailed and summarised reporting options are available. Numerous search criteria options simplifies the subsequent data extraction work sessions.
